I entered the wrong VRN

Modified on Fri, 28 Jul, 2023 at 4:36 AM

As per BPA guidance, a Parking Charge Notice (PCN) issued as a result of a minor keying errors (where up to one character has been entered incorrectly, or where the registration has been entered in the wrong order) will always be cancelled at the earliest stage of appeal.

Where a major keying error has been made (entering a different VRN, making multiple mistakes or only partially entering their VRN), we will reduce the amount payable to £20.00 as a gesture of goodwill. The amount is not reduced because we have made an error in issuing, more the fact that we can see the motorist has made payment for a partial registration and although they have not fully complied with the terms and conditions, we reduce the charge to cover the costs we have incurred due to the motorists error.

If you have paid for parking but entered the wrong VRN, please submit evidence of this with your appeal in order for us to take swift action.
